The Diocese of Allentown invites all high-school-age young men and women to attend the upcoming QuoVadis orFiat Days retreats.
The retreats—Fiat Days for young women and QuoVadis for young men—are designed to create an openness of heart to all vocational possibilities, including religious life, marriage, and—for young men—the Priesthood.
They are also a fun and prayerful opportunity for young people to grow in their Catholic faith with their peers.
“We are excited to continue this great summer tradition on a new campus this year—Lehigh University in South Bethlehem—with the added benefit of beautiful churches like Holy Ghost, Incarnation, and Holy Infancy nearby,” said Director of Vocations Father Mark Searles.
Father Searles noted that students will deepen their experience of prayer and the liturgy at neighboring churches as a part of the July 16-20 retreats.
“The old fun and traditions will still be present, from the Q&A with seminarians and sisters to a pilgrimage to a shrine, a softball game, and a water balloon fight,” Father Searles adds.
Eucharistic Adoration, an Outdoor Rosary Procession, and plenty of fellowship time are also on the schedule. Young men and women ages 14-18, including newly graduated seniors, are eligible to attend.
Registrations are due by Wednesday, June 30. Late registrations and walk-ins will not be permitted.
The fee to attend is $100 if registered by Thursday, June 15, and $150 for subsequent registrations. Scholarships are available.
