All women are invited to gather for an evening of Mass, Adoration, and reflection during the Lenten season.

The Lenten Reflection will be Tuesday, March 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Holy Cross Parish, New Philadelphia. It is sponsored by the Diocesan Commission for Women.

The evening will begin with Mass and Adoration (with Confession available) at the church, 99 Valley St. Parking is available on the street and in the Post Office lot.

The second part of the evening – Refreshments and Retreat – will be at the parish center, 99 Lombard St. Parking is available in the parish center lot. Lenten Reflection will be given by Maggie Riggins, Executive Director of Evangelization and Formation.

“My talk will focus on Jesus’ exhortation we hear in the Gospel on Ash Wednesday, ‘But when you pray, go to your inner room, close the door, and pray to your Father in secret,’” said Riggins.

The Commission for Women is honored to be hosting this retreat and looks forward to partnering with other parishes in Schuylkill County to offer more events like this.

The event is free, but an RSVP is appreciated to plan refreshments. For questions, contact Riggins at mriggins@allentowndiocese.org. To register, click here.
