The Diocese Golf Tournament is still on, and committee members are actively planning for various scenarios to adjust the day, if needed, for concerns related to the Coronavirus.
The September 28 event will benefit seminarians and Catholic school students. It will be held at the Steel Club in Hellertown.
The 15-person committee meets regularly and continues to seek sponsors and golfers. The event will be held if Northampton County is in either the Yellow Phase or the Green Phase of the State Reopening Plan, although some of the usual features of the day may have to be altered due to the situation at the time.
“We’re still looking for sponsors and golfers, and meanwhile we are constantly monitoring the situation and preparing various contingency plans,” said Michele Mullikin, director of Parish Stewardship and Annual Giving. “We will keep everyone informed of any changes.”
