The Christmas Concert at the Cathedral of St. Catharine of Siena is a festive occasion each year with multiple choirs and soloists performing for a full church.
This year, the event has been replaced by the Cathedral Christmas Concert from Home, an innovative YouTube presentation that features choir members, musicians, clergy, seminarians, and religious performing musical pieces either from their homes or in individual performances in the Cathedral.
Beverly McDevitt, music director, said the circumstances are different this year due to the pandemic, but the enthusiasm of the presenters is undiminished. “We hope that this Concert from Home give you peace, joy, and hope during the Christmas season,” she said.
